What does oppo think of the current gen fusion? Specifically the 1.5 Ecoboost? Just looking for a comfy practical daily and I’d never considered one but found a good deal and need a new car this month. Vin is below if anybody wants to run a Carfax for me too, thanks!

Can’t run the Carfax but my brother has a 2016 and likes it. I’ve driven it and one with the 2.0 turbo and one with the 2.5 and I much prefer the 2.0 turbo engine because to me it’s fast but the 2.5 and 1.5 feel perfectly adequate. Personally I’d prefer a 2.5 over the 1.5 because it’s not turbocharged so it’s simpler and may be more reliable long term but I also haven’t heard any horror stories about the 1.5t. I like driving them so I’d probably go for it.

my mom had leased a 2016 one with the 1.5L... i liked it a lot except the engine was pretty gutless, especially when going uphill or passing

it’s too small for a car that size... go for the 2.0L

Well nhtsa says only one open recall for the steering col umn issue.

I saw one site that said it was sold 2 years ago with 45k on it.

Looks like a pretty good car for the money.

They’re fine. Slower than the hp/weight would make you think, and very front nose heavy (so, typical Ford). Not as comfy for long drives as five minutes in the seat would make you think. But overall, they’re solid.

If the dealer isn’t providing a free CARFAX, that warrants a “WOOF WOOF” from the Sketchy Dealer Watchdog.

If you’re sticking with a Fusion, spring to the Titanium for the keyless access. At those prices, a heavily depreciated MKZ might be an even better bet.
